Analog Collage

Torn-paper collage technique: irregular hand-torn edges with fibrous white rims and soft contact shadows under every scrap; opaque paper fragments layered flatly and overlapping, with only slight cast depth. Mixed source vocabulary — coarse halftone newsprint grain, fine black engraving hatch, faded sepia handwriting, aged map and postcard printing. Palette of tea-stained cream, sepia, ochre, dusty blue-grey and brick red with occasional deep charcoal. Matte fibrous paper surface, no gloss, no continuous lighting model; contrast comes from inside each fragment. Composition by asymmetrical rectangular overlap and deliberate misalignment.
