Dieselpunk

Painterly realism with a pulp-poster finish: solid confident outlines over modelled, blended shading rather than line hatching. Palette of warm oxidised browns, brass and amber against cold slate blue-grey steel, with smoky desaturated greys in the background. Materials read as heavy and used: riveted metal, worn leather, oiled canvas, greasy engine grime, brushed chrome. Lighting is dramatic and directional, usually low smoky sunlight or cold hangar lamps raking long cast shadows into haze. Composition is monumental and slightly low-angle, letting machinery dwarf the figure; dense mechanical detail in the mid-ground, softer atmospheric depth behind. No readable lettering, signage or poster text anywhere in the image.
